Downtown Ithaca, NY Engagement Photoshoot
Looking for something different for your engagement photos?
If you LOVE the urban vibe that a downtown parking garage brings, consider having part of your session at a parking garage rooftop.
Caylie and Tommy had the second half of their engagement session at the Seneca Street Parking Garage right in downtown Ithaca. This was a short drive from where they had the first part of their session, which was at a local state park. By having the variety of two locations, these lovebirds were able to get a more diverse gallery.
Here's some ways you can make you and your love stand out even more:
One thing about Caylie and Tommy's session that I LOVED SO MUCH, was their outfits! They opted to go with neutral tones which allowed for the focus to be all eyes on them.
I definitely love the expression of ourselves with clothing, but if you are down to do it in a more neutral-toned way, it certainly helps with having our eyes drawn to you as a couple. Most times with busy patterns, heavy contrast of colors and textures, it can be a bit distracting...this might work great for an editorial session or a very specific look for a certain styled shoot, but in most circumstances, I always recommend neutral tones. I think you can see why in these photos. :')
Here's a list of some of my other favorite parking garages that you may see featured on my Instagram and portfolio: Hawley Street Parking in Downtown Binghamton, NY, State Street Parking Garage in Binghamton, NY, as well as the beloved and well-remembered Boscov's Parking Garage (RIP) in Bing!
